Interior Designers, Iryna Dzhemesiuk and Vitaliy Yurov of Diff-Studio style an elegant, minimal and luxurious terrace atop a hundred-year-old building in Paris.

Diff-Studio is renowned for designing unique, comfortable and modern spaces with a touch (or more) of indulgence. Their aesthetic stems from a sophisticated collage of styles, textures, materials and forms, that bring a curated edge to all the spaces they define.

This 40 sq. m. terrace is part of a two-level apartment that flaunts contemporary-classic styled interiors, designed to honour and pay tribute to the historic structure that houses it. Though the terrace itself has a no-fuss contemporary flair, it encourages relaxation, family gatherings and celebrations. By expertly structuring the terrace into zones, the designers overcame the hindrances that its modest size presented. The trail through the lounge area leads to a jacuzzi at the far end, separated by only a few steps.

The moody, monochrome scheme of the interiors extends onto the terrace - on the floor, walls and the plant pots, creating a warm ambience when supplemented by greens, natural stone and cosy wood. The furnishings too follow the same mood and reinforce texture into the palette. The one thing that sets the right vibe is the minimal lighting, with recessed illumination, and distinctly neat, modern fixtures. Enveloped within partially high outer walls, glass screens and tall plants, this terrace is a secluded spot that is beautifully luxurious in a very understated way and yet, easy to live in.

As such, the designers blend in strong, polished tones and functionality to create this compact, chic space that nails the modern-luxe look.
