Based on the concept of
bistronomy, Bistro de l’Arc reinvents dishes and flavours from traditional
French cuisine with a menu that changes daily according to seasonal produce…
Bistro de l’Arc, situated
near the Arc de Triomphe and Place de l’Etoile in Paris’ chic 16th
arrondissement, has called upon the expertise of French interior designer
Sophie Jacqmin for its décor.
Taking her cue from the
traditional notion of a bistro, Sophie infuses understated elegance into the
homely eatery with finesse ushered in via brass and marble. Design elements
that evoke cinema, jazz music and poetry are niched amidst the classic décor
with the ceiling taking centrestage as it displays various eponymous quotes.
The quality and origin of
the seasonal produce correspond to the bistro’s respect for nature and the environment
by focusing on sustainable farming and seasonality, all of which is
orchestrated by Angie Fouquoire, an up-and-coming young chef who’s trained at some
of the best restaurants in Paris. In fact, the menu here is innovative and rich
with something new to offer every day.

The simple yet stately Bistro
de l’Arc turns out to be a place filled with warmth – a ‘go to’ at any hour, whether
for business lunch, dinner with friends or a glass of wine on the terrace! As
the French say, let’s please the eyes before we focus on the palate!
